Trying to be super organised tonight by sorting out the mess of files on my computers - finally clearing the stuff off my half-dead old lappie and organising a gazillion screencaps and other such pretties.

It's not quite as satisfying as re-alphabetising my library, but it will do to until the weekend.

I watched 'Christopher and His Kind' tonight and promptly spend almost $200 on some first edition Isherwood books I didn't have copies of yet.

Will do a proper review tomorrow (or soon) - it's late now and I need to get a bit of sleep.

Also contemplating a list of books/movies read/watched for 2012 - but may refrain, as I suck at upkeep and only end up making myself feel stink for failing at simple tasks. Still - I love the potential of a good list - even when faced with the inevitable lack of success.

This is my third straight week of 10 hour days - I feel like an automaton - except everything hurts. Good news is I finally get the weekend to myself - no family things, no domestic crises with the best friend, just me and about a billion hours of TV to catch up on, and as much time to read as I can cram in. Two more days... Bring it on.

Just started watching White Collar - suits and art = love

Yes! Yes! Yes! Melancholia will be screening at the Film Festival in July. Charlotte Gainsbourgh and Alexander Skarsgard (and Brady Corbet who I haven;t seen in anything since Mysterious Skin.

The live-music film this year is Nosferatu, which is awesome all on it's own anyway. Also, Norwegian Wood looks fantastic, and Troll Hunter - how could you not :D.

Bummer that Hesher wasn't in the line-up - but still stoked at this year's line-up.

Well - that was a pretty horrid few weeks - my uncle died 2 weeks ago - no time to fly back to Holland to see him - Dad went for the funeral, so I've been staying with Mum until he gets back later next week - then last week my friend found out she's got breast cancer - they're operating next week. I'm shattered - feel like I need to hibernate for a month.


On a happier note - usakiwigirl - loved the fic - thank you so much - also - sorry it took so long to comment - haven't been near the computer much.

I am beyond relieved that everyone we know down there has finally reported in safe and well. I honestly do not have words to describe ... I just don't. I was in tears on the bus this afternoon. And I have been watching since I got home - such devastation, such loss of life. I wish there was something I could do more than give money (Red Cross).
